Review and journal acceptance

JOATP welcomes alternative theoretical physics and evaluates the clarity of its claims, mathematical and physical reasoning, engagement with existing work, and reproducibility. A novel proposal is not treated as established physics merely because it is published.

New journal articles require completed review and an editorial acceptance decision. Before acceptance, the editor records the reviewers, a public review summary, and how conflicts of interest were handled. Reviewer identities are kept in the editorial record and are not automatically made public. The author can respond and revise; a new PDF is submitted as a new version with the prior version identified.

Authors must not serve as the independent reviewers of their own work. A founding editor’s later submissions require independent assessment and a disclosed process for handling the editor’s conflict.

The founding issue

Volume 1, Issue 1 is an editorially selected collection of Todd J. Desiato’s research, including coauthored work with Riccardo C. Storti. This founding selection is an exception to the review process for new submissions: its recent author manuscripts are not represented as independently peer reviewed by JOATP. Legacy articles retain their original publication credits and version descriptions. Listing a previously published work does not claim a new first publication.

Membership and preprints

Everyone may read hosted journal papers and public preprints without joining. Signing in establishes an account; an editor must approve author membership before manuscript uploads are permitted. Scope, conduct, and authorship concerns may lead to a declined or suspended membership.

Uploaded manuscripts remain private to the submitting author and editor during screening. A preprint becomes public only after editorial release and the author’s explicit consent. Preprint screening is not peer review or journal acceptance. Public pages show the current status.

Authorship, rights, and disclosure

Submit only work you are authorized to share, with the consent of all coauthors. Authors retain their rights and grant permission for JOATP to host and publicly display the submitted manuscript after screening. No Creative Commons license or transfer of copyright is assumed for new submissions. Where an archived work has an existing license, its article page identifies that license; the Estes Park proceedings extract is shared under CC BY-SA 4.0. Rights associated with earlier publisher versions remain with their respective rights holders.

Disclose relevant prior publication, funding, conflicts, and substantive AI assistance. Authors remain responsible for every claim, citation, calculation, and file they submit. Editorial review must consider those disclosures.

Corrections and withdrawal

Contact the editor to correct an article record or arrange a revised version. Authors can withdraw their uploaded manuscript through the dashboard. Once a publicly posted manuscript is withdrawn, its public record remains labeled withdrawn and its file is no longer publicly served. Copies previously downloaded by readers cannot be recalled.

Services and payment

Optional author services are quoted separately. Scope, price, delivery, and cancellation or refund terms must be supplied with the quote before payment. Payment does not guarantee acceptance. The editor verifies payment with the hosted provider before marking a service paid. For a billing concern or refund request, contact the editor with the service reference.

Privacy

Sign-in supplies an account identifier and contact email. Your membership application adds your name, optional affiliation, and research statement. JOATP stores those details, submitted PDFs and metadata, editorial decisions, and service requests so the editor can operate membership, review, and publishing.

The editor can read applications and private submissions. After release, a paper’s title, authors, abstract, keywords, PDF, public review summary, and publication status are visible to everyone. Account email, membership statement, private editorial notes, payment references, and reviewer identities are not displayed publicly.

Hosted payment providers handle payment details under their own policies. JOATP keeps the quoted amount and the editor’s payment-verification reference, not card numbers. No automatic AI processing of uploaded manuscripts is implemented on this site.

Contact mainengineering@gmail.com to request a correction, account closure, or deletion of private application data. Public scholarly records and records necessary to resolve a payment or publication dispute may need to be retained; the editor will explain what can be removed.
